The United Methodist Children’s Home provides a holistic, therapeutic and healing environment for our youth. Sitting on 99 acres in Decatur, the campus is covered with giant oak trees and historic landmarks, such as Moore Chapel, which was built in 1906. Moore Chapel is the site for Sunday evening chapel services for the entire campus, as well as various weekday activities and special occasions.

Our youth in our Group Care program live in one of several cottages on our campus.

The activities building is the home for the gymnasium, game room, teen center, computer lab and the Healing HeArts Center. UMCH also has a low ropes course, volleyball court, soccer field and pool.

The Child and Family Services Center is the main building on campus, housing all of the administrative offices and the majority of program staff offices.

Goodwin, Wood, Cochran and Ruff are the four duplexes for our Short-term Family Housing program. Up to eight families can be served in this temporary housing placement.

Older youth in our Independent Living Program live in their own apartments in one of several buildings on our campus.
