The Children’s Home offers many different events throughout the year.  In addition to our popular flea markets and annual Fam-Fest, we also offer a variety of ongoing events.

Parenting classes begin Aug. 6 on our Decatur campus.









Foster Care Informational Meetings

The Children’s Home hosts a monthly informational meetings for persons interested in becoming a foster parent.

Decatur – Every 1st Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. RSVP to Denise Peacock

Newnan – Every 2nd Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. RSVP to Ashley Blocker

Gainesville – Every 4th Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. RSVP to Sondra Rogers

RSVP required.


IMPACT Foster Parent Training

When: IMPACT training is required to be a foster parent in Georgia. The informational meeting (see above event) is a required prerequisite.

Flea Markets

10382088_10152624955497224_2281962489431013792_oThe Children’s Home holds a flea market three times a year to benefit our work to help children and families in need. Each two-day event draws in thousands of people from local and nearby communities and even neighboring states.


When:  The next Flea Market is Friday, April 8 & Saturday, April 9, 2017 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day

Fam Fest

Fam Fest is a great opportunity to enjoy a day of fellowship and fun for a good cause. All proceeds from Fam Fest will support The Children’s Home efforts to restore children and families from trauma through Jesus Christ.
Your ticket includes all-day admission to Six Flags attractions; and free lunch buffet, ice cream bar, and Coca Cola beverage station.
