Recently in one of our chapel services on Sunday night, the Rev. Ellen Shepard shared with our children, youth and families how each of them was made with a purpose. She spoke of how none of us are created by accident and that we each play a role in this world. She used the creation story as an example of this, and everyone created a part of the creation story with clay. Then one of our residents retold the creation story using the molded clay.
One of our youth demonstrated his own uniqueness with his re-creation of “Day Seven” in the creation story – when God rested. We were all impressed with how he thought out of the box with his art.
The next time you take a “Sabbath,” or even just kick back on your sofa or couch, remember how you are uniquely and wonderfully made!
