This week marks 140 years for the United Methodist Children’s Home. 140 years of serving children, and creating safe and loving homes. 140 years of making sure every child we serve feels the wholeness of God’s love.
Today our staff and residents came together to celebrate these past 140 years, with food and fellowship.
What’s a party without hot dogs and hamburgers?
And, of course, cake!
We are humbled as an agency to have served thousands upon thousands of children and their families over these past 140 years. We could not do it alone, however, so we are grateful to every person who has prayed for us, made a gift to our agency, brought food from their garden or gifts to put under our tree, served as a volunteer or a foster parent, or shared our story with others. We thank you, and we ate a piece of cake in your honor today. 🙂
