UMCH offers training on strength-based practices

The United Methodist Children’s Home is excited to announce an upcoming training. The subject matter will be “Strength-Based Partnering with Families.” The training will take place on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on our campus (500 South Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA  30030). The cost of the training is $30.00 per person.

 

About the Training: This training will encompass the use of strength-based practices when working with families, youth and other individuals in our care.

 

About the Trainer: Charyl Durbin, Ed.S., LPC, is a Public Administration doctoral candidate at Capella University. She is the Child and Adolescent Program Specialist for Community Based Alternatives for Youth (CBAY). She has been working in the human service field in many capacities, specializing in helping children and families, since 1977. She is a mother of four and grandmother of eight grandchildren (so far).
