We love our volunteers! Reggie Wilborn is one of many volunteers who are investing in the lives of the children and families we serve. He is working with our children in Family Housing – helping out with homework, playing games, reading books… just hanging out and being a friend to these children.
Hillary Peete, Coordinator of Family Housing says this about Reggie: “He has been an enthusiastic and wonderful support. He has helped kids pick out books on library day, taken kids to the gym to play basketball and air hockey, played card games, and more. He jumped in with both feet on the first day he was here and the kids can’t wait for him to come back each week!”
Reggie is from Atlanta, but spent three years teaching middle school in Brooklyn, New York and one year teaching high school in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He is currently a Residence Director at Morehouse College and a first year graduate student at Candler School of Theology.
Reggie has this to say about his volunteering at UMCH: “I thoroughly enjoy working with the youth at UMCH, as we enjoy our time together in the gym, and they teach me what they have learned in school.”
We are so grateful to Reggie and to all of the UMCH volunteers who are spending time reaching out to our children and families to show them God’s love!
